About this Job:

  • Collaborative with our team of physiatrists, anesthesiologist, psychologists, physical therapist, nurse practitioners and physicians in order to provide the best treatment for your patients.
  • Evaluation and management of patients with musculoskeletal pain.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic therapeutic tests relative to patients needs.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability.
  • Training provided.
  • RVU based compensation.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Full Job Description

Northwest Spine and Pain Medicine is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychologist to join a well - established, rapidly growing, multidisciplinary pain clinic.

The NWSPM Pain Psychology team member will be responsible for conducting initial intakes and providing ongoing individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy as necessary. Treatment plans are based on a foundation of Pain Neuroscience Education as well as other evidenced-based best practices for the psychological treatment of pain and chronic pain.

Psychology Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial Diagnostic Interview / Intake
  • Develop treatment plans to reduce pain interference with daily living and improve overall functioning / engagement with life
  • Utilize Pain Neuroscience Education as a foundation for providing compassionate, individualized, evidenced-based care
  • Collaborate with patients and other NWSPM providers to determine effectiveness of treatment and make adjustments when necessary
  • Work with individuals on related psychological issues (e.g., trauma history) as indicated
  • Run psychotherapy groups as necessary

Psychologist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy. D.) (Preferred)
  • Accepting Masters Level
  • 2 + years of clinical experience a plus
  • Pain Psychology experience a plus
  • Trauma or Somatic experience a plus
  • Current WA state license to practice

Compensation

Based on production, experience, education, and licensure with an expected annual compensation of $60,000- $100,000
