About Michelle Brothers, DNP

Michelle Brothers, DNP

Advanced Practice Nurse Profile

From an early age, Michelle liked helping others with injuries and illnesses, which came in very handy growing up as a farm girl in rural north Idaho. While attending Lewis-Clark State College she worked summer jobs as a CNA in long-term care and a clinical assistant in a rehabilitation and sports training clinic. After receiving her BSN and RN license she worked as a rehabilitation hospital floor nurse in Bakersfield, CA.

Michelle's experience as a nurse instilled a desire to do more for her patients. She returned to college and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Nursing with her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and passed the FNP certification soon afterwards.

Being raised in a family where alternative medicine was very popular, Michelle has great respect for both “traditional” and “modern” medicine. Various personal experiences cultured her passion for helping others who experience pain on a daily basis. She loves serving on medical mission teams, including living for three months in Uganda where one of her favorite memories was helping a young boy walk again. She is very honored and proud to be part of the multidisciplinary team at Northwest Spine and Pain Medicine.
